Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.
  • 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA, graduate degree, or equivalent practical experience in a technical, quantitative, or business field.
  • Experience with strategic and operational projects, cross-functional stakeholder management, and project management, including the ability to work autonomously and keep multiple priorities moving at the same time
  • Highly collaborative, who is comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills (e.g., spreadsheets/modeling, SQL) with sound business judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels, including cross-functional peers and senior leadership.

About the job
The YouTube Business Central Planning and Operations team is responsible for leading global, cross-functional, strategic initiatives to drive the unprecedented growth and health of the YouTube creator and partner ecosystem. The core capabilities of the team include strategic planning, business operations, incentives design and operations, product partnerships strategy, and go-to-market for the three regions: Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
As the leader of the Strategic Planning team for YouTube's business organization, you are responsible for helping the team identify and invest in strategic opportunities to enable delivery and execution across top company priorities. Based on a clear investment thesis and sound understanding of business drivers, capacity models, and impact measurement, you will orchestrate the team's Annual Planning process to optimize our headcount footprint and budget envelope (and consider how to prioritize resourcing requirements dynamically throughout the year). You will also drive the organization's Objectives and Key Results (OKR) program, ensuring transparency and accountability across our top priorities while leading process transformation and automation efforts to streamline execution for the teams.
Your leadership and management skills, broad understanding of the team's work, and your ability to quickly analyze a challenge with structured thinking and a sharp sense for process will help propel strategic priorities across the team. You are comfortable with ambiguity and you effortlessly adapt your approach to reconcile with changing priorities, directions, and guidance. You are comfortable working cross-functionally in a results-driven environment, have a proven track record of managing competing priorities, and want to be part of an innovative global team forging new ground in the world of technology and entertainment.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $234000 - $325000 (USD) 25% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Orchestrate the business's Annual Planning process, along with ongoing headcount and budget optimizations, to direct organizational resources towards best and highest use.
  • Drive the team's global objective and key results (OKR) processes in close collaboration with cross-functional leadership to ensure awareness, alignment, and prioritization.
  • Build strategic investment narratives, deliver executive communications, and lead presentations/discussions with executive stakeholders to achieve long-term goals.
  • Proactively identify problems and issues across the organization, create programs and processes to solve them, and influence cross-functional teams and leadership to bring them to life.
  • Develop and foster a high-performing team with a culture of professional development, high psychological safety, purpose, and fun.
