Job description

  • Direct tissue procurement effort for the Department
  • Develop processes, procedures and a collaborative research program in the field of 3D organoid biology
  • Expand collaborative efforts with the University of Arizona biomedical scientists and physician scientists in the development of organoids relevant to cancer, lung disease, and liver disease.
  • Develop human precision cut lung and liver slice model systems
  • Perform tissue histology, staining, and quantification
  • Organize tissue bank collection of FPPE, fresh frozen, and organoid samples
  • Participate in both training of students and technicians
  • Participate as a productive member of the Department and the College through impactful scholarly work and good citizenship.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
