This is a part-time, 20-hour-per-week role running 13 weeks (August 31 - November 27, 2026).
The internship provides hands-on experience in supplier data management, sourcing compliance, and supply chain risk assessment. The intern will lead a high-impact project: conducting a systematic review and update of FII North America's supplier database, with a focus on verifying manufacturing addresses, documenting RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) audit status, and confirming BCP (Business Continuity Plan) documentation across all NA accounts. The outcomes of this work will directly strengthen FII's compliance posture, supply chain visibility, and audit readiness.

  • Conduct a full inventory of the existing supplier database to establish a baseline gap count across all three core data fields: manufacturing address, RBA audit status, and BCP documentation.
  • Cross-reference supplier records with verified legal entity manufacturing addresses; flag discrepancies and contact suppliers directly to collect or confirm missing information.
  • Access the RBA Online portal to verify audit records and document current RBA status (certified, in-progress, or not started) for each active NA supplier.
  • Confirm BCP existence for each supplier, log submission dates and validity periods, and collect missing or expired BCP documents through direct supplier outreach.
  • Compile a supplier compliance gap report identifying missing fields by supplier and account, ranked by risk priority.
  • Build and maintain a status tracker documenting suppliers requiring follow-up, current status, and next steps.
  • Develop supplier risk metrics and KPIs to identify and monitor high-risk suppliers on an ongoing basis.
  • Draft a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for ongoing supplier database maintenance, to be reviewed and approved by the mentor.
  • Prepare and deliver a final presentation to SCPM/RFQ leadership summarizing findings, compliance gaps, and recommendations.

REQUIRED SKILLS & TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data tracking, pivot tables, gap analysis, and KPI/metrics reporting.
  • Ability to navigate SAP or similar ERP systems to pull active supplier and account records.
  • Familiarity with the RBA Online portal for supplier audit status verification is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for supplier outreach via email, phone, and supplier portals to collect and verify data.
  • Microsoft Word proficiency for SOP writing, documentation, and reporting.
  • Basic data analysis skills with the ability to organize, cross-reference, and validate large datasets.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to working with compliance-sensitive supplier records.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Responds to change as a positive challenge
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, especially when working with compliance-sensitive information.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-oriented mindset.

WORK SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
  • Part-time: 20 hours per week for the duration of one semester (~13 weeks).
  • Flexible scheduling available to accommodate academic commitments.
  • Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
