New Ventures Technology & Innovation | Firm Associate Director Strategy, Growth and Transformation

The Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives supports the Strategic Initiatives Leader in advancing NVTI's highest-priority programs, serving as a trusted thought partner and execution backbone across a portfolio that spans product governance, strategic external partnerships, and firm-level cross-functional initiatives.

The role requires substantive understanding of product strategy and lifecycle, including familiarity with product governance frameworks, platform-to-product models, and investment prioritization. It also requires the organizational fluency to navigate Deloitte's matrixed environment across businesses, enabling functions, and Global, building credibility and momentum with senior stakeholders without direct authority.

This role is designed for a leader who can move fluidly between strategic framing and operational execution: distilling complexity into clarity, preparing senior-leader decision materials, tracking progress across concurrent workstreams, identifying risks, and proactively course-correcting to sustain pace and quality across the portfolio.

Estimated Date of Closure September 8, 2026

Work you'll do

Strategic Program Execution

  • Portfolio Management
    • Track progress across multiple concurrent NVTI workstreams and maintain visibility into priorities, dependencies, and decision points.
    • Identify execution risks, surface tradeoffs, and proactively course-correct to keep initiatives moving.
    • Create operating discipline across workstreams through clear planning, follow-up, and accountability routines.
  • Senior Leader Support
    • Prepare materials that enable senior-leader decision-making, including structured briefings, options, recommendations, and status updates.
    • Distill complex product, partnership, and governance topics into clear, executive-ready narratives.
    • Represent the Strategic Initiatives Leader in working sessions and stakeholder engagements with confidence and discretion.

Product Governance & Investment Prioritization

  • Product Strategy
    • Support work related to product strategy, lifecycle management, and platform-to-product models.
    • Help translate product governance concepts into practical operating mechanisms and decision forums.
    • Contribute to investment prioritization discussions by organizing inputs, clarifying choices, and documenting rationale.
  • Governance Discipline
    • Maintain clarity on governance cadence, required decisions, owners, and follow-through.
    • Ensure materials and discussions connect strategic objectives to execution implications.

Stakeholder Engagement & Matrixed Influence

  • Cross-Functional Alignment
    • Operate across businesses, enabling functions, and Global to build alignment around shared priorities.
    • Develop credibility with senior stakeholders by bringing structured thinking, follow-through, and sound judgment.
    • Help translate stakeholder input into practical next steps, decision pathways, and communications.
  • Communication
    • Communicate with clarity, discretion, and appropriate altitude across all levels of the organization.
    • Balance strategic context with operational specificity so stakeholders understand both the "why" and the "what next."

The successful candidate would possess these skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships
  • Ability to lead projects or workstreams
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to mentor and provide clear guidance to others

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $151,400 to $278,900
