What this job involves: The Director, Strategic Sourcing will focus on managing a highly visible Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) category and team, requiring exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management capabilities. The position demands a leader who can operate independently at a strategic level, moving beyond transactional procurement to drive long-term value creation. You'll own the full lifecycle of complex RFx processes from initiation through implementation, navigating passionate stakeholders and presenting confidently to senior leadership audiences. The role centers on optimizing JLL's managed services operations and sourcing strategies for IFM clients and internal stakeholders, requiring someone who operates with minimal oversight while maintaining a strong bias for action. You'll serve as a subject matter expert who builds trusted partnerships across organizational levels, balances competing priorities, and proactively identifies opportunities to drive performance, cost optimization, and innovation. This position requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, creates structure in complex situations, and demonstrates consistent availability during standard business hours to support time-sensitive client needs through real-time responsiveness and video collaboration.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Own and execute long-term sourcing strategies for complex IFM categories independently, driving performance optimization, risk mitigation, governance, and innovation while transitioning discussions from tactical procurement to strategic value creation

  • Lead large-scale RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) independently from initiation through contract award and transition, developing sourcing strategies, evaluation frameworks, commercial models, and managing stakeholder alignment throughout the full lifecycle

  • Build and maintain trusted partnerships with client stakeholders at multiple organizational levels, aligning procurement strategies with operational needs while navigating high-visibility environments with professionalism and managing competing priorities

  • Present sourcing strategies, award recommendations, and performance results to senior leadership with confidence, responding to live questions and representing procurement in governance and executive forums

  • Lead negotiation of master service agreements and performance-based contracts, ensuring alignment with risk management, compliance, and governance standards while structuring agreements that support accountability and measurable outcomes

  • Perform periodic market trend analysis for specific categories, analyzing supplier base and industry changes, and reporting findings to Supply Chain and business stakeholders in client-ready formats

  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and communicate regional and national programs autonomously, supporting supplier relationship and performance programs while participating in Preferred Supplier performance review meetings

  • Lead and develop a team of sourcing professionals, coaching team members independently, establishing work priorities, assigning deliverables, and modeling strategic thinking and leadership maturity

  • Provide management oversight and instruction supporting operations teams' RFP/bid processes, contracting, and operational procedures, anticipating challenges and implementing solutions proactively before issues escalate

  • Support Solutions Development proposals by building solution models and pricing structures, responding quickly to business development opportunities with minimal direction

Required qualifications:
  • 10+ years of strategic sourcing or related experience

  • Proven experience independently leading end-to-end RFx processes in complex environments with demonstrated ability to operate autonomously

  • Demonstrated success managing high-visibility service categories, preferably IFM or facilities-related services

  • Experience in contract negotiation and commercial strategy development

  • Proven ability to lead teams in decentralized environments

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications with excellent PC skills

Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced credentials

  • Project management experience

  • Business transitions experience

Estimated compensation for this position:

76,100.00 - 120,700.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
