For this Director of Business Development position within our Adaptive Communications and Sensing (AC&S) product line, the ideal candidate will develop growth opportunities addressing future needs of Warfighters through delivery of enhanced communications and secure networking to accelerate kill chain. Domain expertise in Tactical Data Links (TDLs), joint-services, and international. The ability to envision the operational challenges in the context of communications and assured interoperability within and between services, domains, platforms, and the warfighter. We are seeking a thought leader with key customers to include DoW services, international partners, third party approval agencies, and research labs.
This key position will drive growth through identification of market opportunities domestically and internationally. The successful candidate will drive our customer relationships, recommend investment priorities, establish strategic partnerships and provide the vision that will give our warfighters a disproportionate advantage.   • Responsibility for an annual orders pipeline associated with strategic Business Capture with a large focus on competitive pursuits.
  • Support the Adaptive Communications & Sensing (AC&S) business development team and business leader(s) in establishing the product line strategy by providing customer and competitive intelligence and analysis, market trends, and future customer acquisitions.
  • Lead market campaigns to develop capture opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Function as a member of the C4ISR Business Development leadership team and pivotal member of the functional organization.
  • Engage with key external and internal decision makers as a thought leader in the mission and market space.
  • Engage and inform executive leadership with the voice of the customer and advocate internally for the actions and commitments necessary to grow.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree and 12 years in the Defense Industry, Service or Related Experience.
  • Secret Clearance with ability to achieve TS.
  • BS Engineering or related technical degree.
  • Track record of leading successful strategic pursuits, DoD acquisition and/or operational service.
  • Knowledge of Government/DoD contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors.
  • Existing customer and industry relationships with Tactical Data Link (TDL) uses to include Link 16, Directional Line of Sight (DLOS), Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS), and other communications protocols.
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) of COMSEC products.
  • Ability to write unsolicited white papers resulting in revenue streams.
  • Ability to rapidly gain knowledge of competitors and ability to anticipate competitor behaviors in the domestic and international military markets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Education
  • Master's degree and 10+ years' experience in leadership roles.
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Phase review chairman certified or ability to quickly obtain certification.
  • Shipley assessed Capture Team Lead Belt.
