SpadeWorx is seeking an outstanding candidate for the position of Director of Business Development. This role will have full responsibility for short term and long term strategic business planning; identification, qualification, target and capture of new business targets; and pipeline development and maintenance generating both short- and long-term wins. The Director of Business Development will have solid leadership skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead significant change. Must create and maintain effective outreach program, customer relationships, industry insight, and revenue targets, to drive growth and increase value from our prospective and current clients. The Director of Business Development must maintain a sales pipeline to meet sales targets and goals.
Responsibilities:
As a member of our US East Coast expansion, you will be a key member of leadership team in setting up our office in the New Jersey/New York region.
Directly manage and develop his/her own client accounts
Work with management to effectively lead the sales cycle, to win client opportunities
Perform market analysis to determine future customer, competitor, platforms, programs, products, and opportunities to pursue
Expand and diversify the current business to achieve plan and growth targets for assigned customers and markets with a focus on growth markets and technologies, legacy and strategic.
Build and nurture client relations in order to create upsell opportunities
Uncover and track sales opportunities within existing and net new client accounts
Collaborate with team to target opportunities and reach personal quotas
Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals/quotas
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
B.S. or B.A. required in business or a related field, advanced degree a plus
8+ years proven success in a business development role, with sales/marketing in an Information Technology Services industry.
Experience in responding to RFPs and preparing proposals.
Strong Hunter profile with demonstrated sales/W2 track record of overachieving sales quota
Strong local network across industry verticals and business functions
Expert level understanding of Services sales opportunities & scenarios for Microsoft Technologies stack
Experience in selling services on Microsoft SharePoint, Dynamics/Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Azure cloud services is a plus.
Prior experience working with Microsoft Gold Partner organization is a plus
Proficient in Office Suite products
Experience building senior level relationships internal and external to the organization
Demonstrated ability to negotiate, make difficult decisions, influence others and manage change.
High level problem solving and analysis skills
Ability to maintain focus during long sales cycles and good understanding of customer decision making criteria for offshore software services and consulting.
Provide strategic direction and leadership; identify and qualify new business opportunities.
Responsibility for developing and maintaining a pipeline of relevant business opportunities
Able to be both a team leader and a team player
