About the role

The Senior Manager, Store Experience sits at the center of how Athleta comes to life in the physical world. This role leads the end-to-end marketing strategy for stores—ensuring every touchpoint, from signage to activations to new store openings, delivers a cohesive, premium, and brand-defining customer experience.Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing, this leader serves as the voice of stores within the marketing organization—deeply understanding store environments, fleet needs, and customer behavior—and translating brand and product strategy into best-in-class, scalable retail experiences.This role blends strategy and execution, partnering cross-functionally with Visual, Retail, Creative, Merchandising, and Operations to bring 360 campaigns to life in a way that feels uniquely Athleta.

What you'll do Store Marketing Strategy & Vision
  • Define and lead the seasonal and annual marketing strategy for stores, ensuring alignment with brand and product campaigns
  • Translate brand storytelling into physical retail experiences that are inspiring, intuitive, and conversion-driving
  • Establish the vision and standards for how Athleta shows up across all store touchpoints
 360 Campaign Integration
  • Own the in-store expression of all Tier 1/2/3 brand and product campaign
  • Ensure signage, storytelling, and outfitting moments ladder directly to campaign strategy and creative
  • Partner with Integrated Marketing leads to bring campaigns to life consistently across channels
 Store Experience & Activations
  • Lead concepting and execution of in-store activations, events, and experiential moments that build community and cultural relevance
  • Develop new ways for stores to engage customers beyond product (events, partnerships, localized moments)
  • Pilot and scale innovative formats that elevate the customer experience
Who you are New Stores, Remodels & Fleet Evolution
  • Own the marketing strategy and launch plans for new store openings and remodels
  • Define storytelling frameworks, signage strategies, and customer journeys for new formats
  • Partner closely with Store Design and Visual teams to ensure brand consistency and impact
 Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Act as the primary marketing partner to Retail and Visual teams
  • Align priorities across Creative, Production, Merch and Operations to ensure seamless execution
  • Lead timelines, budgets, and processes for all store marketing workstreams

Salary Range: $149,900.00 - $194,900.00
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
