Airport Location: Corporate Systems 
Advertised Compensation: $109,800.00 to $133,100.00 

Purpose:  The Manager, Store Systems is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of solutions and projects from conception through deployment in support of customer facing systems and strategies. This position is responsible for managing and prioritizing workloads of the Store Systems teams and developing effective solutions for customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages associates, consultants, and third-party vendors to ensure solutions, new store opening business initiatives, and projects are successfully implemented from conception through deployment and within budget; facilitates the development of end-to-end solutions to meet agreed business requirements 
  • Directs maintenance efforts to ensure stability and availability of systems for users requiring a focus on resource management, project management and quality control
  • Develops reliable metrics for customer facing systems while ensuring strategic capacity planning; collaborates with various departments for critical store system integrations
  • Manages the operation of back-office services, including 2 and 3 store systems related support
  • Partners with IS Security to identify and eliminate security vulnerabilities according to company policies/standards and PCI requirements
  • Directs implementation of software and interface upgrades
  • Conducts analysis of business and technical requirements to recommend technology solutions for current and future growth; assists with the ongoing development of the roadmap
  • Establishes close working relationships with other departments and vendors to establish clear, executable plans to continue to provide associates with technical solutions; responds to changing priorities and escalating issues where appropriate, keeping all interested parties abreast of developments and decisions in a timely fashion
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, deploys, and leads a time-phased resolution plan when IT based issues arise; represents technical change through the corporate governance processes that track and permit project progress 
  • Ensures that the technical designs deliver the most effective customer experience; implements new technologies in unique and innovative ways 
  • Develops custom scripts, tools, and programs in the support of the desired Operational outcome 

Reporting Relationship: The Manager, Store Systems reports to the Director of Store Systems

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

  • Education and Experience: The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 5 years:
    • In a leadership role: Requires 2 years of experience supervising a team of IT professionals engaged in executing systems implementation
    • In a technical role: Requires 5 years of experience as a solution architect engaged in developing and delivering systems solutions and implementation; must have 2 years of experience working with VMWare systems
      • A bachelor's degree in a program related to the functional area can count for 3 of the 5-year requirement
  • In the industry: 3-5 years of Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience
  • Specialized Training:
    • Training that leads to an in-depth understanding of IT systems implementation
    • Certification in a leading object-oriented language such as C# is a plus 
  • Specialized Skillset/Competencies/Traits:
    • Familiarity with Azure and/or other cloud platforms 
    • Demonstrated experience with domain design, creating design documentation, and artifact creations preferred 
    • Business acumen and also has the mindset required to understand the long-term implications of ITT systems implementation planning and to advance the organization's goals
    • Demonstrated history of understanding the needs of the business, stakeholders, the employee population and individual circumstances
    • Demonstrated history of creating and maintaining positive work environments through coaching, developing, and leading teams to achieve common goals
  • Location: This role is based at the North America Support Center in Bethesda, MD
