The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications, and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems.
Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions.
Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements.
The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.
Management Level Definition:
Applies deep subject matter expertise to lead and develop staff in resolving complex business and technical issues within established policies. Manages activities of exempt individual contributors across large, multi-department areas, ensuring accountability for delivering outcomes aligned with organizational strategy. Acts as a strategic advisor to senior management, driving clarity in priorities, milestones, and timelines. Demonstrates ownership by proactively setting clear goals, following through on commitments, and providing consistent guidance and updates. Supports innovation by collaborating with AI experts to integrate cutting-edge AI models into products and processes, and actively builds skills in AI modeling and deployment. Recruits, mentors, and supports team development, fostering a culture of accountability, proactive communication, and results-oriented execution.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides strategic leadership for a diverse team of individual contributors responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex system software and tools.
  • Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and budgets across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, roadmaps, and quality standards.
  • Collaborates with program managers, technical leaders, and executive teams to communicate progress, resolve issues, and influence strategic decisions.
  • Builds strong partnerships with outsourced vendors, setting clear expectations for deliverables, quality, and timelines.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement, cost efficiencies, and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborates with AI experts, program managers, and stakeholders to define and incorporate AI innovations into products and business processes.
  • Oversees talent management, including hiring, coaching, and career development, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversees project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring on-time project delivery and high quality.
  • Provides technical guidance to enable team growth and high-performance execution.
  • Regularly evaluates team performance, providing constructive feedback to support individual and organizational success.

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
  • Typically, 7-10 years' experience, including 0-2 years of people management experience.

  • Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge of cloud applications and related technologies.
