Orca Bio

Full-time

Job description

More than one million people in the United States today are fighting blood cancer. While a traditional allogeneic stem cell transplant has been the best hope for many, the transplant itself can prove fatal or lead to serious conditions, such as graft vs. host disease. Orca Bio is a commercial-stage biotechnology company redefining the transplant process by developing next-generation cell therapies with the goal of providing significantly better survival rates with dramatically fewer risks. With our purified, high-precision cell therapies we hope to not only replace patients' blood and immune systems with healthy ones, but also restore their lives.

Summary of Position:

Reporting jointly into the Associate Director, Commercial Operations & Strategy and the Head of Product Supply, the Analyst, Operations & Analytics supports the data, analytics, and operational infrastructure behind Orca Bio's launch of TREGZI — working cross-functionally with supply chain, logistics, technical operations, commercial, and new product planning teams. A central part of the role is Project Sonar, Orca Bio's organization-wide AI enablement work stream, where this individual will translate business needs from across functions into working AI solutions.

Responsibilities

AI Enablement - Project Sonar

  • Serve as a forward-deployed engineer (FDE) on Project Sonar, Orca Bio's organization-wide AI enablement work stream — embedding with teams across commercial, supply, logistics, tech operations, manufacturing, and others to understand how work gets done and where AI can remove friction.
  • Translate business needs into AI-developed solutions: scope the problem with the function, build and iterate on the solution directly with our engineering team, and hand-off a working tool.
  • Build and maintain AI agents, assistants, and automated workflows using the company's approved AI platforms.

Data, Systems, & Analytics

  • Lead ongoing maintenance of the enterprise data ecosystem (Salesforce, PowerBI/Tableau, ERP, data warehouse, CRM integration) and the reporting infrastructure supporting performance tracking and business decision-making.
  • Support maintenance of US demand and revenue forecasts for TREGZI, and connect commercial demand signals to supply, manufacturing, and capacity planning.

Supply Chain, Logistics & Technical Operations

  • Support supply chain and logistics planning — including chain-of-identity/chain-of-custody workflows, courier and shipping coordination, and scheduling across collection, manufacturing, and infusion.
  • Build and maintain trackers, dashboards, and analyses for manufacturing throughput, slot utilization, turnaround time, on-time delivery, and deviations.
  • Partner with Technical Operations on capacity modeling, scenario planning, and analyses that inform manufacturing and network decisions.
  • Support site activation and onboarding: track engagement and readiness metrics, maintain trackers across the qualified-center footprint, and support communications and workflows for treatment and transplant center onboarding.

Strategy & New Product Planning

  • Support market sizing, landscape research, and opportunity assessments for pipeline programs across a range of indications.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences or related scientific field (biology, biochemistry, public health, or similar).
  • 0–2 years of experience; new graduates or those with 1–2 years in consulting or biopharma are welcome to apply.
  • Demonstrated interest in cell and gene therapy, through coursework, research, internships, or applied experience.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills, with comfort working across data and systems.
  • Demonstrated fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) and genuine curiosity about applying them to real business problems.
Preferred Characteristics
  • Exposure to CRM/BI platforms (Salesforce, Tableau, PowerBI) a plus, though not required.
  • Hands-on experience building with AI — prompt engineering, agent or workflow automation, light scripting (Python, SQL) — a strong plus.
  • Curiosity, comfort with ambiguity, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, launch-focused environment.
The anticipated annual salary range (listed above) for this job is based on prior experience in the role/industry, education, location, internal equity, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. For remote-based positions, this range may vary based on your local market. Full-time employment positions will also be eligible to receive pre-IPO equity and annual bonus, in addition to competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, PTO, 401(k) plan, life and accidental death and disability coverage, and parental leave benefits. Other perks include subsidized daily lunches and snacks at our on-site locations.

Who we are

We are driven by a passion for science and compassion for patients. We act with urgency to ensure our treatments are one day accessible to all who need them.

We live by our core values of passion, courage, and integrity. Excellence in our work means the chance to unlock a better quality of life for our patients, and with that comes tremendous responsibility.

We innovate on a path that hasn’t been paved. We embrace an entrepreneurial spirit and take calculated risks to achieve our mission. We aren’t afraid to ask “why not” and challenge the status quo.

We maintain a start-up culture of camaraderie and leadership by example, regardless of title.

We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and recognize that celebrating our differences creates stronger, lasting solutions that better serve our team, our patients and their healthcare providers.

Our employment activities, inquiries and offers are managed through our HR/Talent team, and all candidates are presented through this channel only.
