Job description

We are seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and technically skilled Director of Front-End Development to lead the front-end engineering efforts of our web platform, as part of our Global Digital Experience Development team. This role offers the unique opportunity to work across www.adp.com and our portfolio of 20+ global marketing sites, delivering consistent and engaging digital experiences worldwide. This hands-on leader will drive the development of high-quality, accessible, and visually compelling user interfaces, ensuring seamless conversion of static designs into high-fidelity, performant components. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in React, Next.js, Node.js, TailwindCSS, and a strong understanding of WCAG accessibility guidelines. Experience with Sitecore CMS is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and contribute hands-on to the front-end development of our web platform using React, Next.js, Node.js, and TailwindCSS.
  • Translate static visual designs from Figma into pixel-perfect, high-fidelity, reusable components with attention to detail and performance.
  • Ensure all front-end code adheres to WCAG AA accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and scalability.
  • Mentor and guide front-end engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Drive front-end architecture decisions and advocate for best practices in development, testing, and deployment.
  • Leverage experience with Sitecore CMS to integrate front-end components where applicable (preferred).
  • Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our platform.
  • Experience with marketing technologies, lead generation strategies and CRO is a plus, contributing to the optimization of user engagement and conversion.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience leading front-end development teams in a fast-paced environment for large-scale websites.
  • Expert-level proficiency with React, Next.js, Node.js, and TailwindCSS.
  • Strong understanding of WCAG AA accessibility guidelines and experience implementing accessible web applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert static designs into high-fidelity, responsive, and performant components.
  • Experience with Sitecore CMS is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with marketing and lead generation tools or strategies is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.

Note:
  • This is a hybrid position, with three days in the office and two days work-from-home per week.
