Scale Cloud Infrastructure as a Site Reliability Engineer in AWS GovCloud!

Trimble is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our globally diverse team helping develop and support our FedRAMP PaaS portfolio. This role is a key member of cloud-hosted solutions residing in AWS GovCloud, offering a great opportunity to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial team with the financial stability of a global public corporation.

What Makes This Role Great: In this role, you will directly drive the security posture, operational excellence, and architectural scalability of critical public cloud services across high-stakes AWS GovCloud environments while collaborating with a high-performing international team.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Configure, optimize, and support public cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.

  • Enhance shared cloud services with a focus on availability, performance, security, capacity, and user experience.

  • Manage security posture, adherence to corporate best practices, and FedRAMP guidelines.

  • Drive effective application operations, established monitoring, and incident response workflows alongside development teams.

  • Maintain essential operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, and service descriptions.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Azure.

  • System administration experience and scripting abilities in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Perl.

  • Practical understanding of IT operations, including networking, computing, storage, and incident management.

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.

  • Familiarity with container platforms like Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS. Working knowledge of CI/CD and development tooling including Git, Jira, and Jenkins.

  • Exposure to operations and monitoring tools like Grafana, Sumo Logic, or PRTG.

Logistics

Location: Westminster, CO or Portland, OR (4 days in office - 1 day from home) Travel Requirement: Minimal (0-10%)

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
