Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the full life cycle of signage projects to ensure they are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role manages projects ranging from single-site signage to large, complex, and multi-phase installations. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, internal teams, installers, and general contractors, providing both in-office coordination and on-site support when required.

The Project Manager serves as a primary liaison between clients, the sales team, production staff, and subcontractors — drawing on a strong working knowledge of construction methods and jobsite logistics to guide successful execution.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of signage projects ranging from standard single-site installations to larger, complex, or multi-site rollouts.
• Serve as the field liaison when needed, applying practical knowledge to assist with sequencing, issue resolution, and vendor oversight.
• Manage all aspects of Pre-Sale and Post-Sale project support, including project planning, scheduling, documentation, and budget tracking.
• Attend client and contractor meetings – sometimes onsite - to support key phases and ensure alignment with current field conditions.
• Organize and lead project meetings, including Kick-Offs, Job Reviews, and Work-in-Progress check-ins.
• Coordinate permitting, engineering, surveys, site visits, subcontractor work, and all vendor logistics.
• Manage the installation phase of projects, including field walkthroughs, punch list completion, and overall quality control.
• Write and manage work orders and complete the Technical Review and Work Release process with design and operations.
• Maintain real-time project tracking in KeyedIn and ensure documentation is accurate and current.
• Communicate regularly with Operations and Scheduling to align timelines, material readiness, and site coordination.
• Approve fabricated signage prior to shipping and ensure client expectations are met.
• Coordinate installation scheduling and provide timely updates throughout production and delivery.
• Support invoicing and closeout documentation when required.
• Compose professional correspondence and project status updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in signage, construction, or another project-driven environment.
• Proven ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders, phases, and vendors.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, jobsite dynamics, and subcontractor coordination.
• Comfortable working in both office and active job site environments, with willingness to occasionally travel regionally or nationally based on project needs.
• Strong communication, leadership, and time management skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with permitting, engineering drawings, ADA compliance, and installation planning.
• Proficiency in KeyedIn or comparable project management systems.
• Ability to adapt quickly, manage shifting priorities, and handle multiple high-demand projects simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and ownership of project outcomes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience across the full signage workflow: fabrication, permitting, installation, and field execution.
• Ability to anticipate site logistics and resource requirements, including cranes, lifts, access, and safety.
• Experience performing field walkthroughs, punch list management, and installation oversight.
• Comfortable coordinating with general contractors, subcontractors, and client project teams.
• Ability to bridge office-based planning with on-site execution to maintain consistent communication and alignment.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Based primarily in our New Bedford office, with occasional travel to job sites as required.
• Must be comfortable working in both office and construction environments.
• Must be able to walk job sites, climb ladders, and take field measurements a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., when necessary.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as needed.
• Ability to alternate between desk work and field activity regularly.
