The Salesforce Engineer, will be a part of the Px Strategy & Operations team at Telix supporting the operations of the Manager, Commercial Operations and Px Business Operations. Reporting directly to Manager, Commercial Operations this role will work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment with partners in IT, Finance, Legal and other supporting functions within the business.

This individual will design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role will work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and other engineers to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions that support key business processes. This individual will also reduce technical debt, improve deployment reliability through CI/CD automation and mentor team members to elevate engineering standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Salesforce Solution Discovery, Design and Delivery
    • Translate defined business and technical requirements into high-quality Salesforce solutions
    • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom solutions on the Salesforce platform
    • Build maintainable and scalable solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs
    • Implement and support Salesforce integrations with external systems using REST APIs and middleware
    • Facilitate peer code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and model Salesforce development best practices
    • Optimize and maintain existing Salesforce solutions
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
    • Maintain technical documentation for implementation features and contribute to solution documentation as needed
    • Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators, Data Analytics, and delivery team members to support end-to-end solution delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work with cross-functional teams such as IT, Sales, Finance, and Legal to clarify requirements and support successful Salesforce solution delivery.
    • Participate in meetings and work groups to understand business needs and ensure delivered Salesforce solutions meet defined requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience
  • Salesforce Platform Developer Certifications Preferred
  • Strong experience with:
    • Apex
    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • SOQL/SOSL
    • Salesforce APIs and integrations
  • Experience with Salesforce deployment tools (CI/CD pipelines, Git)
  • Experience with VS Code or similar IDE preferred
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling and Record, Object and Field level security
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems
  • Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills along with effective time management skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently
  • Experience working with source-driven change control (Git-based workflows)
  • Experience working in environments with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with change management processes and release coordination
  • Experience working with Sales Cloud
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.)
  • Experience leading projects or mentoring developers
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
