Summary
Director Sales CDS
The Director of Sales is responsible for developing long-term Sales strategies and annual Sales plans. Will establish relationships with strong customer focus and collaborate with Costco buying management in each region and provide valuable insights about consumer profiles and trends. The Director of Sales will establish annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with the CDS business plan. Will work directly with the Costco GMM to establish regional event volume strategies, identify any discrepancies in expected volume and work to influence the change to get the volume back on track. The Director of Sales will be a creative force in developing new programs and services for Costco and its vendors. This position will sell in these services and will oversee their successful implementation.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Job Duty
โ€ข Collaborates with the Vice President, Sales to develop a 3-5 year sales strategy and an annual Sales plan and provide quarterly updates to senior leadership, as well as revisions and modifications to the Plan for each region.
โ€ข Responsible for the establishment of both annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with the CDS business plan for the regional sales offices.
โ€ข Create conduct and present CDS' marketing services to existing and prospective clients.
โ€ข Partner with the CPG Relationship Lead to build relationships with Vendors, Brokers and Buyers by providing product sampling insights and advice through the development of individual event programs, including sustaining external and internal customer contacts to ensure high-level customer satisfaction; accountable to oversee the development of on-going and on-request reports to internal and external customers.
โ€ข Develop sales metrics used to assess regional sales teams' performance.
โ€ข Manage and direct personnel, which includes selection, work allocation, training, development and problem resolution; evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions; motivate, coach, inspire, and mentor employees to achieve peak productivity and performance;
โ€ข Be a creative force to develop new programs and services for Costco and its vendors. Sell in these services and ensure their successful implementation.
โ€ข Ensure strong sales/operations relationships and effective communications. Work with the Director of Field Operations to resolve issues and drive programs.
โ€ข Train, develop, coach and counsel direct reports in all aspects of the in-house demonstration program including the sales and scheduling process, producing an accurate and timely demo schedule, creating accurate and comprehensive demo product information sheets, and adhering to CDS policies and procedures including financial guidelines.
โ€ข Provide excellent customer service to Costco in the form of upcoming demo volume projections and results / analysis of demos performed for the most recent period
