About the Role:
We are seeking a Director, RPA Automation & Citizen Development to lead our Automation team at S&P Global Ratings. In this role you will work business stake holders to understand thier automations, assist them in automation development by adhering to Ratings Cistizen Development SOPs and also contribute to the deployment, monitoring, and management of RPA solutions and managing the RPA team. You will also play a pivotal role in implementing our RPA operations, ensuring the management of our RPA Portfolio.
The Team:
You will lead, manage, and work closely with a world-class RPA and Automation team comprised of experts in RPA tools and engineers. Your contributions will be critical in engineering and developing solutions for RPA and Automation, supporting S&P's transformation to drive value both internally and for our customers. This role presents a unique opportunity for RPA managers and engineers to advance in their career journey.
Responsibilities & Impact
  • Set and execute the enterprise automation strategy for S&P Global Ratings, aligning RPA and workflow automation outcomes to business priorities (e.g., operational efficiency, control improvements, scalability).
  • Lead a team of automation engineers and analysts to identify, assess, and deliver automation opportunities across functions (Operations, Finance, Data, Technology, Risk/Controls).
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of RPA solutions, including discovery, process assessment, solution design, development, testing, release, and hyper care using UiPath and Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Establish strong governance and standards (best practices, secure coding, reusable components, documentation, change management, and lifecycle management).
  • Partner with technology, information security, and risk stakeholders to ensure automations meet architectural, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Drive measurable value through KPI tracking (time saved, error reduction, cycle-time improvements, control effectiveness) and executive reporting.
  • Build an automation roadmap and pipeline, prioritizing initiatives and managing capacity, vendor support (as applicable), and budgets.
  • Promote a culture of automation and continuous improvement, including coaching, enablement, and stakeholder change adoption.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $142,000 to $230,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

Basic Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in automation, process improvement, or technology delivery, including 3+ years leading RPA/automation teams or programs.
  • Demonstrated hands-on and leadership experience delivering automations using tool such as UiPath and/or Microsoft Power Automate (Power Automate Desktop / cloud flows).
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC / automation lifecycle management, production support, release management, and operational monitoring.
  • Experience with process discovery and optimization (Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent practical experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with integration patterns (APIs, databases, file-based integrations) and automation around enterprise applications.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, translate business needs into automation roadmaps, and communicate outcomes with clear metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent practical experience).
