Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Resource Nurse specializing in observation, working full-time day shifts. This role supports quality patient care by efficiently utilizing resources and maintaining systems that empower staff to deliver excellent care. The position includes flexible scheduling with weekend and holiday shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily patient assignments and conduct rounds with physicians.
  • Serve as a primary contact for physicians and administrators.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff nurses, nursing assistants, monitor technicians, and unit secretaries.
  • Assist with clinical procedures and verify physician orders.
  • Perform daily quality control and equipment checks on the unit.
  • Evaluate patient acuity and assist in staff performance evaluations.
  • Contribute to monthly staff scheduling and clinical education in the absence of educators or preceptors.
  • Engage with patients and families regularly to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Coordinate with care coordinators, discharge planners, patient placement, and nursing supervisors.
  • Implement hospital innovation projects and monitor staff performance related to patient satisfaction metrics.
  • Maintain effective communication through mobile devices and perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience:
