About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a strategic and operationally-minded Director of Finance to lead a high-performing finance organization.

This individual will oversee accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, and financial operations while partnering closely with executive leadership to support long-term organizational goals and business performance.

The successful candidate will bring a unique blend of accounting expertise, financial leadership, regulatory knowledge, and strategic business acumen.

This role offers an opportunity to influence key decisions, lead a talented team, and help drive ongoing investments in technology, analytics, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and finance operations
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, statutory accounting, regulatory requirements, and tax regulations
  • Manage financial reporting processes and executive-level reporting packages
  • Partner with senior leadership on organizational strategy and growth initiatives
  • Oversee risk management, governance, and internal control environments
  • Drive financial system enhancements, reporting automation, and process improvement initiatives
  • Lead and develop a team responsible for accounting, FP&A, and treasury functions
  • Monitor financial performance drivers and provide actionable business insights
  • Support capital planning, investment management, and treasury activities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, corporate finance, and financial operations
  • Deep understanding of GAAP, STAT accounting, regulatory compliance, tax, and premium tax requirements
  • Strong knowledge of insurance operations, capital management, investments, treasury, and financial performance drivers
  • Experience leading accounting and finance teams in complex organizations
  • Strong background in internal controls, risk management, governance, and compliance
  • Experience leveraging data analytics and technology-enabled solutions to improve performance and decision-making
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
