Job Summary:

Areas of focus for you will include

Management:

Direct and control the activities within a defined area of actuarial analysis or responsibility.Provide direct supervision to professional individual contributors including training,developmentand coaching.Establish a high-performing environment, fostering collaboration within the team.Identifyworkforce needs and ensure alignment with corporate manager expectations,valuesand vision.

Pricing/Underwriting:

Manage the development of pricing for premium rates and fees.Analyze emergingprofitas compared to pricing assumptions.Perform specialized pricing/underwriting for large cases or unique blocks of business.

Actuarial/Experience Studies:

Gather,analyzeand developstrongunderstanding of profitability, growth, risk, customer retention, and expense trends,utilizingcompany,industryand capital marketdataas necessary.Create andmaintainmodels used in analysis, risk management, incomeprojectionand regulatory requirements.Communicate findings to management and provide quantitative knowledge for business/investment/financial strategies.

Product Development:

Collaborate with sales, marketing and other functional areas on the financial soundness anddesignof new products.Research,designand implement new products or product enhancements.Analyze new product profitability to achieve corporate/division income and growth goals.

Cross Collaboration:

Communicate and collaborate with various departments across the organization to meet business needs.Using data and analysis, provide strategic guidance in influencing management decision making.

Traits of a Successful Candidate


Education/Experience:

  • Experience with GGY AXISpreferred.
  • Groupor IndividualLifepricingexperiencestronglypreferred.
  • Prior experience sufficient to have gained a seasoned actuarial business perspective, particularly including pricing design and strategy.
  • FSA designationrequired. Attaining Fellowship alone is not asufficient criteriontooperateat this level.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in mathematics, actuarial science, business, or a related field preferred.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:

$147,750.00 - $236,000.00
