Job description

Summary
The individual will be responsible for directing the field execution of construction projects and managing a crew of field personnel for the Construction and Maintenance Department in the telecommunications vertical. Positional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, project management, field technical evaluations, troubleshooting, rigging, and crew management while ensuring quality work in compliance with project design and safety requirements. This position requires a minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience as a crew foreman in the telecommunications construction field.
Positional Responsibilities
The Foreman will be required to manage the day-to-day aspects of construction projects and field crews. Positional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to safely direct field crews and perform ground and aerial construction work for telecommunication structures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of tower components, tower connections, and foundations including the ability to read and understand construction documents and plans.
  • Ability to effectively utilize company and/or client software systems to provide daily updates and compile close-out packages for the various construction services as project requirements dictate.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate professional interaction with clients, vendors, internal personnel, and other project stakeholders.
  • Strictly obey and enforce all safety in accordance with company, client, industry, and governmental regulations and policies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot site specific field issues and effectively communicate with engineering and management to promote timely and safe solutions.
  • Knowledge of rigging techniques and principles including compilation of project specific rigging plans.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Manage project specific budgets based on job cost analysis.
  • Provide training and support, including hands-on training, to field crews.
  • Ability to operate and provide general maintenance on mechanical equipment and possess the ability to identify materials, tools, and specialty equipment required to complete project scopes.
  • Possess strong housekeeping skills to maintain well-organized, clean, and secure project sites, vehicles, trailers, toolboxes, and equipment.
  • Ability to work well with your hands.

Computer Software Experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is required.
  • Knowledge of rigging plan programs or similar calculation programs.

Experience/Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated Foreman experience in the telecommunications construction field.
  • Competent Climber/Certified Rescuer.
  • First Aid/ CPR Certifications.
  • OSHA 30 Hour.
  • RF/EME Awareness.
  • Competent Rigger.
  • Aerial Lift Operator.
  • Excavator Operator.
  • NWSA TTT-1 is preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and be insurable under the companys standards employment contingent upon passing a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background test.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds.
