This opportunity is part of a strategic hardware engineering group within a global innovation organization. The team researches emerging technologies, evaluates their technical and commercial relevance, and helps determine how they can be applied across a broad portfolio of connected devices, intelligent computing platforms, enterprise infrastructure, edge solutions, and smart device ecosystems.

Working closely with engineering teams, technology partners, and global stakeholders, this group investigates advances in wireless connectivity, antenna design, and networking technologies to influence future product direction.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, technically curious early-career engineer with a strong interest in wireless and antenna technologies, including cellular WAN, 4G/5G/5G Advanced, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, satellite communications, and other emerging connectivity solutions. The ideal candidate enjoys learning new technologies, solving technical challenges, analyzing performance data, and collaborating across global teams to move innovative concepts from exploration toward practical implementation.

What You'll Do
  • Research emerging wireless and connectivity technologies and assess their relevance to connected devices, intelligent computing platforms, and customer experiences.
  • Support evaluations of cellular, Wiโ€‘Fi, Bluetooth, satellite, and antenna technologies through analysis, testing, and proofโ€‘ofโ€‘concept activities.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, technology partners, and ecosystem vendors to understand implementation considerations, technical tradeoffs, and industry trends.
  • Assist in developing prototypes, demonstrations, and technical recommendations that help transition new technologies into product development.
  • Support wireless certification, carrier approval, and regulatory activities as needed.
  • Document findings and clearly communicate technical results, recommendations, and next steps to engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong interest in wireless communications, networking, RF systems, or antenna technologies.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a global environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure through coursework, internships, projects, or research involving wireless technologies, networking, embedded systems, RF engineering, antennas, or IoT devices.
  • Familiarity with one or more wireless technologies such as cellular (4G/5G), Wiโ€‘Fi, Bluetooth, satellite communications, UWB, or other wireless protocols.
  • Experience using engineering tools, scripting languages, or data analysis tools to evaluate technical solutions.
  • Interest in emerging technology trends and innovation.
  • Mandarin or Japanese language skills are a plus but not required.
Pay Details

$46.88 per hour
