Job description

GFT is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to our office in Berkeley, CA. This role follows a remote work model.

Working on the Transportation team at GFT offers the opportunity to engage in transformative projects that enhance transportation infrastructure and improve community connectivity.

This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Sr. Project Manager who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The role highlights a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and results on every project.  

In this capacity, you will be responsible for the following: 

  • Perform project management for a combination of Federally funded projects supporting transportation systems.
  • Manage the project across the project life cycle from initiation to closure.
  • Develop programs, projects, and applies strategic problem-solving skills ensuring timely solutions to complex construction management program issues.
  • Apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities ensuring project requirements are met.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with contract documents.
  • Establish all necessary liaisons, coordination, and support with any project-related agencies and representatives of federal, state, regional, and local governments as appropriate for each task order.
  • Prepare and monitor Project Work Plan, Quality Plan, and Schedules and coordinate project resource efforts to reach objectives.
  • Prepare technical analysis reports.

What you will bring to our firm: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in: Engineering; Environmental; Transportation, Urban, or Regional Planning; or a related field.
  • 20 years of project management experience in the transportation industry.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in the principles and activities related to the development and support of transportation systems.

Compensation:

This is an hourly position. The range for this position is $55 to $65 per hour. Compensation is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
