About the Role
As an Experience Strategy Director, you will operate end-to-end on complex client engagements, driving the creation, delivery, and evolution of AnswerLab's experience strategy offering. You will synthesize research, map journeys, and ideate innovative solutions, producing high-quality deliverables that directly influence the CXO's client-facing strategy.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role in a fast-growing, scale-up environment, where processes are still evolving, and your contributions will support shaping the organization's approach to experience strategy. You will thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting, taking ownership of projects from end to end, influencing how work is done, and helping to establish the methods, tools, and frameworks that define AnswerLab's offering. You may also mentor 1-2 strategists or associates as you build the foundation of a team and practice that will grow with the business.
Key Responsibilities
Shape Client Experiences
  • Become an expert in each client's brand, business, customers, market, and competitive landscape
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative research, journey mapping, and ecosystem insights into actionable strategies
  • Ideate innovative solutions that balance creativity, feasibility, scalability, and measurable business impact
  • Translate insights into client-ready deliverables, including maps, blueprints, frameworks, and strategic recommendations

Drive Strategy Deliverables & Influence
  • Own the development of materials and frameworks
  • Present solutions to clients and executive stakeholders
  • Ensure all deliverables are actionable, high-quality, and reflect AnswerLab's methodology
  • Monitor emerging trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously refine offerings and client strategies

Collaborate Across Disciplines
  • Partner with researchers, designers, product, CX, and business leads to deliver integrated and innovative solutions
  • Run workshops, co-creation sessions, and internal strategy discussions to ensure alignment and impact
  • Mentor strategists or associates, supporting professional development and project execution

Shape & Scale the Offering
  • Codify methods, tools, and frameworks to standardize and scale AnswerLab's experience strategy service
  • Contribute to practice development and thought leadership within the firm

Required Skills & Experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in experience or product strategy
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage projects end-to-end
  • Experience facilitating workshops and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong storytelling, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and influence outcomes
  • Familiarity with strategy and design tools: journey mapping, service blueprints, research synthesis, Figma, Miro, and other collaboration platforms
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders
  • Curiosity and motivation to explore emerging trends, technologies, methods, and tools
