Position Summary

Provides strategic leadership and direction for the Portfolio Management function across local markets, segments, and verticals. Accountable for defining portfolio strategy, including solution design, and ensuring effective execution.

This role has two primary areas of focus:
Product Management (Local Markets, Segments & Verticals): development and management of differentiated and tailored solutions aligned to market opportunities and customer needs
Portfolio Implementation: development and end-to-end execution of product, regulatory, and market-driven strategies

**The position may be remote or hybrid, depending on candidate location - preferably on the Eastern or Central Time Zone

Key Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and manage a team responsible for:

  • Defining portfolio strategy translating market intelligence, buyer needs, competitive insights, and performance data into differentiated product, program, and solution roadmaps
  • Driving end-to-end portfolio performance, monitoring key metrics and adjusting strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Translating strategy into execution defining priorities, creating timelines, and project managing deliverables while managing risks and dependencies
  • Driving alignment across a matrixed organization, partnering closely with Product, Sales, Underwriting, Actuarial, and other stakeholders to accelerate delivery and impact
  • Leading change management and continuous improvement (including AI) across segments and markets

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, portfolio management, healthcare benefits, or related strategic leadership roles within the healthcare industry.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including leading managers and/or highly matrixed teams
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing portfolio strategies that drive growth, retention, customer value, and business performance
  • Executive-level presentation and storytelling skills


Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
