As we continue to expand specialty support across our clinical programs, we are seeking an experienced Endocrinology Medical Director to provide clinical leadership, strategic guidance, and subject-matter expertise across the organization.

Position Overview

The Endocrinology Medical Director is a non-patient-facing, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing endocrinology-related clinical standards, protocols, and program development. This role partners closely with executive leadership, medical directors, and interdisciplinary clinical teams to ensure evidence-based, high-quality endocrine care is integrated across our care model.

This position is ideal for a board-certified endocrinologist seeking a strategic, advisory, and impact-driven role without direct patient care responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the organizational clinical authority for endocrinology, providing expert guidance on endocrine-related conditions, care pathways, and best practices

  • Develop, review, and update clinical protocols, guidelines, and quality standards related to endocrine care (e.g., diabetes, thyroid disorders, metabolic conditions)

  • Advise leadership on program development, service line expansion, and clinical strategy related to endocrinology

  • Support interdisciplinary teams by offering consultation, education, and clinical insight (non-patient specific)

  • Partner with quality, operations, and compliance teams to support outcomes tracking, performance improvement, and regulatory alignment

  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including chart review frameworks, peer review guidance, and risk mitigation strategies

  • Contribute to clinician education initiatives, training materials, and best-practice resources

  • Stay current on evolving endocrine guidelines, research, and regulatory trends, translating them into practical organizational guidance

Qualifications
  • MD or DO required

  • Board Certified in Endocrinology (required)

  • Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (multi-state licensure preferred)

  • Minimum 5–7 years of clinical experience in endocrinology

  • Prior experience in medical leadership, clinical oversight, or advisory roles strongly preferred

  • Experience working with advanced practice providers and interdisciplinary care teams

  • Strong understanding of value-based care, population health, or post-acute/long-term care models preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a remote, collaborative, and fast-growing organization
