This remote position offers you the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact in the mental health community in Oyster Bay, New York. As a licensed therapist, you will assess clients' mental health needs, design comprehensive treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to foster resilience and personal growth.

About the Organization

Roseville Counseling Services is a community health clinic committed to promoting mental health and wellness in our local and broader communities. We prioritize patient-centric care and strive to create a welcoming environment where clients can heal and thrive. Our team consists of multidisciplinary professionals dedicated to supporting individuals and families through their mental health challenges.

Work Environment

This position is designed for a remote work environment, allowing you to provide therapeutic services from the comfort of your own home. Despite the distance, you will remain an integral part of our collaborative team, engaging with colleagues through virtual meetings, case discussions, and continuous training sessions. Our supportive work culture fosters camaraderie and connection among team members, making teamwork and collaboration central to our success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clientsโ€™ mental health concerns, developing clear clinical diagnoses and personalized treatment plans to address their unique challenges.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to client needs.
  • Offer crisis intervention services for clients in acute distress, providing immediate support and de-escalation techniques to help stabilize their emotional state.
  • Document all client interactions comprehensively and confidentially, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment results, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to deliver holistic care that addresses all facets of a clientโ€™s health.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health resources, treatment options, and coping strategies, empowering them to advocate for their wellbeing.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops, training sessions, and supervision to stay abreast of evolving best practices in therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily working with diverse populations in the Oyster Bay area, including children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. This role requires a deep understanding of culturally competent care practices to effectively address the unique needs of our community members.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R) in New York State.
  • A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field; a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling setting, demonstrating strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish trust and rapport with clients.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload while being an active part of a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a clinical setting, particularly within community health frameworks, is desirable but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is advantageous for streamlined documentation and client interaction.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, reflective of your experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance plans to support your well-being.
  • Generous paid time off and holidays to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
  • Continuous education and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
  • A supportive work environment that encourages collaboration and mutual support among team members.
  • Flexible work schedules with options for both full-time and part-time positions.
