This Sales Development Role at Entrust is a key contributor to pipeline development, prospect engagement, and early-stage relationship building for Entrust's Identity Security solutions. As the initial point of contact in the selling cycle, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) will establish trust, build relationships, and create new sales opportunities with prospects.

This position is fully remote and will be based in the US or Canada

How you will make an impact:

  • Conduct outbound/inbound sales discovery and lead prospecting activities for Entrust's Identity Security solutions team.

  • Clearly articulate the unique value proposition of Entrust's solutions through various communication methods (phone, web, etc.) to existing customers, prospects, and North and South American channel partners.

  • Manage and follow up on Marketing leads received from Marketing, providing feedback and progressing leads to opportunities

  • Identify key decision-makers, timeline, and budget potential to map qualified prospects. Ask qualifying questions to identify the correct prospect contact.

  • Engage in daily outbound prospecting efforts to generate new sales leads within the assigned territory, leveraging referrals from existing customers, inbound leads, cold calling, and collaboration with other Sales Executives.

  • Facilitate meaningful introductions between Sales Executives and new prospects.

  • Maintain comprehensive client information, including call records and account status, in SalesForce CRM to enhance consistency in client approach.

  • Recognize market trends and report customer feedback on product enhancements to the broader team during scheduled sales meetings.

  • Contribute to growing the Identity Security sales pipeline by prospecting for new accounts, prospecting in installed base accounts, and key named accounts.

  • Executing territory plans, sales strategies, and forecasts.

  • Proactively manage timelines and follow-up efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of BDR/SDR experience.

  • Inside Sales/B2B sales experience, including developing, qualifying, and validating new business leads, with a proven track record of consistently exceeding objectives.

  • Customer-focused with strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate new technology products and service enhancements.

  • Previous success in prospecting, building a sales pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle, and presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decision-makers.

  • Strategic and tactical thinking abilities.

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of criticism, rejection, or failure.

  • Must be able to legally work within the US or Canada and have unrestricted work authorization.

  • Self-starter, confident with owning responsibilities and experienced in seeing projects through from end to end

  • Collaborative team player

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in selling SaaS data security solutions.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Knowledgeable using social networking tools to help canvas an account (LinkedIn, Apollo).

  • Experience using tools such as Outreach, Sales Navigator is desirable

Compensation Range:


In the US: The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $18.43-$27.03 per hour (in the primary posting location). This position is also eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience and actual performance against the assigned sales compensation plan. In addition to your pay, Entrust offers eligible colleagues and their dependents comprehensive health and well-being programs which include medical, vision, dental, a generous 401(k) matching contribution, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off plus 12 paid holidays, parental leave and education reimbursement.
