Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments through individual teletherapy sessions to evaluate patients' emotional and psychological needs.
• Compiling thorough medical data, including health histories and mental status examinations, to formulate accurate diagnostic conclusions.
• Creating and implementing personalized behavioral health treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to individual patient needs.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintaining and securing sensitive patient information in compliance with privacy regulations and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your role is vital in providing compassionate, culturally competent care, ensuring that each patient feels supported and understood throughout their healthcare journey.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• A valid clinical license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
• Proficiency in electronic clinical systems and electronic health records (EHR), ensuring accurate and efficient documentation of patient data.
• A commitment to staying current with continuing education in evidence-based psychosocial interventions.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly desirable, enabling enhanced communication with our diverse patient population.

Preferred Experience

In addition to the qualifications mentioned, ideal candidates will have:

• At least two years of experience working in mental health settings, providing direct counseling services.
