Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor at Skyrise Behavioral Health System, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients through secure video conferencing software.
• Performing comprehensive mental health evaluations, meticulously documenting patient medical history, current symptoms, and mental status assessments.
• Collaboratively developing tailored behavioral health treatment plans and implementing appropriate interventions.
• Utilizing evidence-based methodologies to provide therapeutic support, intervention strategies, and psychoeducation.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records of patient progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engaging in regular supervisory and case management meetings to ensure high standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a varied patient population, including adolescents and adults facing various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. Your holistic approach to healthcare will ensure that you address not only the psychological needs of your patients but also consider their emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting their mental health.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Art Therapy, or Psychology.
• A valid state-issued clinical license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• A commitment to ongoing education and a thorough understanding of evidence-based psychosocial interventions.
• Experience with electronic clinical systems and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) applications.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of related experience is required, candidates with advanced skills in virtual counseling techniques, crisis intervention, and culturally competent care are highly encouraged to apply. Experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team is also an asset.
