Annual Salary: $104,540 - $151,444 Annually + up to 10% bonus annually (after first year complete year) (dependent upon experience)

Skills of a Director of Quality, Patient Experience and Patient Safety will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provides strategic leadership for quality and patient experience by establishing a clear vision that aligns regulatory expectations, organizational priorities, and patient-centered care principles. Translates strategic objectives into actionable goals, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives. Ensures alignment between departmental work and health system wide strategic priorities.
  • Proactively identifies quality performance gaps, regulatory risks, and patient experience opportunities. Develops policies, standards, and workflows that support consistent, compliant, and high-quality care delivery. Leads initiatives with a focus on sustainability, standardization, and measurable outcomes.
  • Builds commitment across multidisciplinary teams to advance quality and patient experience goals. Leads change initiatives that require collaboration across clinical and operational departments, addressing resistance constructively and reinforcing accountability for results.
  • Establishes clear expectations for quality performance, regulatory compliance, and patient experience outcomes. Monitors performance trends, evaluates effectiveness of improvement initiatives, and holds individuals and teams accountable for meeting established goals.
  • Champions patient- and family-centered care by integrating patient experience data, feedback, and best practices into organizational decision-making. Ensures quality initiatives directly support respectful communication, reliability, and consistency in the patient experience.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or other healthcare related field. - [REQUIRED]
  • Master's degree. - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
  • Candidates with a degree in a health care profession must have an active Ohio license. CPHQ certification, LEAN/Six-Sigma, project management or other applicable improvement methodologies. - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
  • Minimum of three years quality improvement experience. - [REQUIRED]
  • Prior leadership/management experience. - [REQUIRED]
  • Seeking a candidate who is an RN with at least five years of leadership and quality experience. - ['HIGHLY PREFERRED]
  • Must have strong leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Must also have exceptional interpersonal skills including the demonstrated ability to persuade through consensus-building, accomplish difficult tasks through others, and the ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders. A passion for enhancing quality and a focus on performance improvement are also required. Must have basic competency with probability and statistics and be proficient with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Power Point.
