MMR Project Manager
On-site in Abilene, TX.

Organization Description:

Job Duration: up to 2 years
Job Schedule: 55-66 hours weekly
Rate: $63-$70/hour depending on experience
Per Diem: $1,050 per week if all qualifications are met.

The Project Manager's role is to lead all onsite activities of the project to ensure the cost effective execution of all project deliverables in accordance with the customers contract specification, quality standards, schedule and safety requirements during the construction, commissioning, start-up, closeout and turnover of the completed project.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project
  • Plan, develop and organize the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan to timely completion within budget and to implement the execution of that plan
  • Assist the project director with conducting inspections, completing reports and attaining all necessary permits
  • Consult with the project director to review the budget and determine the scope of work required
  • Direct and motivate supervisory personnel, subcontractors and staff
  • Monitor and report project details, including progress, risks and opportunities in a timely manner to the project director
  • Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope and drawings are documented
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and schedule to supervisors
  • Monitor construction productivity and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance
  • Implement and enforce all QA/QC procedures
  • Attend safety training as directed
  • Commitment to the company goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
  • Employee must be able to travel to and from the jobsite via personal vehicle or other public form of transportation

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum of four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8-12+ years industrial construction experience
  • 5+ years managing electrical / industrial / mission critical scopes
  • Experience with contracts, billing, forecasting, procurement, change management, and client communication
  • Experienced in deploying the last planner system and work package construction
  • Must understand schedule, staffing, risk, turnover, and financial controls
  • Must have ability to read blueprints, drawings, technical manuals and based on them, perform necessary operations for the installation and/or repair of equipment
