We are currently looking for a Regional Director - Advanced Technology Project Deliveryin the Alabama area. This role will help grow and lead complex capital project work across life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and data center/mission critical environments.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who knows the Alabama market, understands the local construction and client landscape, and has experience leading technically complex projects from early planning through construction, commissioning, turnover, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead regional project delivery efforts for large, complex capital projects across advanced technology sectors.

  • Support client-side program and project management from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and closeout.

  • Build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, engineering firms, construction partners, trade partners, and technical service providers throughout Alabama and the greater Southeast.

  • Oversee project teams supporting design management, construction management, project controls, cost, schedule, commissioning, and operational readiness.

  • Support regional growth through client development, account strategy, pursuits, proposals, and market positioning.

  • Manage project performance, staffing needs, budgets, schedules, risks, reporting, and client expectations.

  • Help identify and attract local talent capable of supporting complex technical project delivery.

Technical Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in capital project delivery, program management, construction management, project controls, engineering, or owner's representation.

  • Experience supporting complex projects in one or more of the following sectors: life sciences, pharmaceutical manufacturing, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, data centers, mission critical, or high-tech industrial facilities.

  • Strong knowledge of the Alabama construction and development market, including regional owners, contractors, consultants, trade partners, and talent pools.

  • Experience delivering projects from planning/design through construction, commissioning, turnover, and operational readiness.

  • Background working for an owner, consultant, EPCM firm, construction manager, engineering firm, or advanced technology project delivery organization.

  • Ability to lead client relationships, manage technical project teams, and support regional business growth.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • PMP, CCM, PE, or related certification preferred but not required.

Location Requirement:

  • Candidates should be based in Alabama or have strong established knowledge of the Alabama market. This role will require regular engagement with local clients, project sites, partners, and regional talent networks.

The salary range for this full-time role is $133,100.00-$186,366.69 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
