Job description

Purpose of Position
Hach is seeking a transformational IT Program Director to lead some of the company's most strategic enterprise modernization and digital transformation initiatives. This leadership role is responsible for successfully delivering a portfolio of enterprise technology programs while building the organizational, operational, governance, and talent capabilities required to establish and scale a world-class IT Program Management Office (PMO).
The IT Program Director will oversee a portfolio of strategic enterprise technology programs, with the successful delivery of Hach's Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP transformation serving as the highest-priority initiative. Oracle Fusion will be the cornerstone of Hach's enterprise modernization strategy and will require dedicated executive leadership across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Order Management, Logistics, and related business functions. In addition to leading the Oracle transformation, the Program Director will progressively assume delivery responsibility for other enterprise technology initiatives, including other enterprise applications, AI-enabled business transformation, data and analytics programs, and future strategic technology investments. This role will ultimately establish and lead Hach's IT Program Management Office (PMO), creating the governance, talent, and delivery capabilities required to manage a growing portfolio of enterprise transformation programs.
This position requires an experienced and visionary leader who can drive large-scale transformation programs while simultaneously establishing program governance standards, developing program management capabilities, building high-performing teams, and shaping the future of enterprise technology delivery at Hach.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-year enterprise programs while building organizational capabilities that enable long-term success.
Essential Functions
  • Lead a portfolio of strategic enterprise technology programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities, corporate objectives, and digital transformation goals.
  • Serve as the executive leader accountable for the successful delivery of Hach's Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP transformation, ensuring achievement of business outcomes, adoption targets, timeline commitments, and value realization objectives.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT programs including Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, enterprise applications, AI initiatives, data and analytics initiatives, and other enterprise technology investments.
  • Establish and build Hach's IT Program Management Office (PMO), including governance frameworks, delivery methodologies, standards, reporting structures, resource management processes, and portfolio management practices.
  • Develop enterprise program management capabilities, tools, KPIs, and best practices to improve delivery consistency, transparency, and business value realization.
  • Manage program portfolios including scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder outcomes across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business leaders, technology teams, executive sponsors, external vendors, and strategic consulting partners.
  • Partner with the CIO and executive leadership in portfolio prioritization, investment planning, and strategic roadmap development.
  • Establish executive-level governance and reporting processes, including Steering Committee communications, portfolio health reviews, and business value tracking.
  • Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies across programs and business functions to proactively mitigate risks and remove delivery obstacles.
  • Support the business teams in organizational change management and adoption strategies to ensure successful realization of business outcomes.
  • Serve as a strategic technology leader, evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends to inform enterprise technology strategy and investment decisions.
  • Champion the integration of AI (including Generative AI, Agentic AI), automation, and intelligent workflow solutions across business and technology functions to improve productivity, decision-making, and operational efficiency in enterprise applications. Drive an AI-first mindset across these programs.
  • Leverage Process Mining, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), workflow automation, and AI-enabled process optimization capabilities to accelerate business transformation.
  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team of program managers, project managers, business transformation leaders, and PMO professionals.
  • Establish talent development programs, career paths, and organizational capabilities that support long-term PMO maturity and enterprise transformation success.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce IT governance standards, delivery methodologies, policies, and operational procedures across the program management organization.

Education, Background and Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise applications, ERP transformation, digital transformation, or large-scale technology programs.
  • 8+ years leading complex, cross-functional enterprise programs (including Oracle Fusion ERP) with multi-million-dollar budgets and global stakeholder groups.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives, including ERP, enterprise applications, digital transformation, data and analytics, and/or AI-enabled programs.
  • Experience building and leading enterprise PMO organizations, program governance functions, or portfolio management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling program management organizations, delivery frameworks, and governance models.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementations required; direct Oracle program leadership experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience driving AI-enabled transformation initiatives (including GenAI, AI-powered workflows and Agentic AI solutions) and RPA solutions.
  • Experience building and leading global teams across program management, architecture, business process transformation, and technology delivery.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and organizational leadership skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and ability to align technology investments with enterprise objectives and measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed, fast-paced, and evolving enterprise environments.
  • Strong vendor management and System Integrator leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent program management certifications preferred.

Within 12-24 months, this role is expected to establish and lead Hach's enterprise IT PMO, creating the governance, talent, processes, and portfolio management capabilities necessary to support future business and technology transformation initiatives.
