Assistant Director, Program Management | McDonough School of Business - Georgetown University
Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business has a highly experienced professional program staff which oversees the details of corporate executive training delivery and ensures a successful and memorable custom experience from beginning to end. The Assistant Director will
plan and deliver custom executive education programs for clients from around the world in a virtual, in-person, or hybrid environment. This position will require flexibility, as the incumbent may travel up to 10% of the year, both domestically and abroad, for up to 10 days at a time, and work some weekends and evenings up to 20% of the year for program deliveries and events.
Essential skills include: outstanding organizational abilities, critical eye for detail, outstanding written and oral communications, independent decision-making, and the ability to act under pressure is critical. Little to no supervision is expected on most tasks.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Extensive client interaction on a daily basis across cultures and borders.
  • Communicating with 30-75 participants per program, often divided into groups or cohorts, as well as engaging with faculty members.
  • Liaising with internal and external vendors and contractors in support of effective program delivery.

Work Interactions
The Assistant Director reports directly to the Assistant Dean for Custom Executive Education and works closely with staff of the Custom Executive Education team and other units within McDonough School of Business and the broader university community. The Assistant Director will have responsibilities including: project management, event management, extensive client interaction, and program delivery onsite at Georgetown as well as offsite, domestically and internationally, and virtually. This role directly contributes to the University's mission by developing principled leaders with a global mindset who are committed to serving the common good.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in program or event management and high-level client interaction.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred qualifications
  • International program delivery experience

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$44,022.00 - $73,406.80
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
