The Role:
We are looking for a visionary and strategic Field CTO with a "learn-it-all" mindset to serve as a high-impact technical advisor for our most strategic prospects and customers. In this role, you will act as a peer to client executives, translating complex business transformations into scalable technical strategies. You will drive innovation by championing Process Intelligence ,Agentic AI and Enterprise Modernization, ensuring our technology aligns with the evolving needs of the global market.
The work you'll do:
  • Executive Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, aligning their long-term strategic goals with the Celonis technical vision.
  • Strategic Architecture & Roadmap: Lead the overarching data, cloud, and innovation strategy for our largest global accounts, utilizing methodologies like Capability Mapping to identify high-value opportunities.
  • Innovation Leadership: Architect "first-of-a-kind" solutions using emergent technologies like Agentic AI to solve complex enterprise challenges.
  • Sales & Business Impact: Partner with Sales and Value Engineering driving revenue through new customer acquisition and strategic up-selling.
  • Product Advocacy: Act as a critical feedback loop between our Product & Engineering teams and the market, ensuring the voice of the customer shapes our future offerings.
  • Thought Leadership: Develop and deliver customer-facing position papers, assets, and presentations that establish our brand as a leader in architecture and innovation.

The qualifications you need:
  • Experience: 15 to 20 years of relevant experience, ideally having served as a CTO at a consulting firm, as Field CTO at a software vendor, or Director/VP of Enterprise Architecture within a major corporation.
  • Strategic Communication: Proven track record of presenting complex technical visions to C-suite stakeholders in a way that emphasizes business value.
  • Modernization Expertise: Deep experience in Enterprise Modernization, EA Methodologies, and a robust understanding of Agentic AI.
  • Technical Versatility: Ability to pivot from high-level architecture diagrams to hands-on demo.
  • Technical Foundation: Excellent background in Data Architecture, API ecosystems, and cloud-native SaaS solutions like Salesforce and ServiceNow.
  • ERP/Domain: Strong knowledge of at least one ERP SAP or Oracle or in alternative strong domain expertise in high regulated industries like Financial Services.
  • Education: MSc degree in Computer Science or an equivalent IT-related field.

Preferred:
  • Tech Stack: Celonis, OCPM and Case Centric Data Pipelines.
  • Certifications: TOGAF/Zachmann , AWS/Azure/GCP , and ESB/ETL certifications (e.g., Mulesoft, Informatica).
  • Industry Breadth: Experience across at least two domains (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain) and two industries (e.g., Pharma, Banking, Aerospace)
