Job description

The Senior Manager, Predictive Science & AI - US Commercial will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing of machine learning and AI solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the U.S. Commercial organization. This role partners closely with Insights & Analytics, Enterprise Data Management, Information Technology, and Medical Affairs to develop predictive models and analytical solutions that generate actionable insights into patient populations and healthcare provider behavior. The successful candidate brings deep biotech commercial acumen and strong expertise in machine learning and AI to deliver timely, innovative solutions that inform strategic decisions and accelerate commercial growth.
This is a hybrid role to the Cambridge, MA office which requires an on-site presence 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Data Science Leadership
  • Design, develop and validate machine learning and predictive analytics-based solutions supporting U.S. Commercial function.

  • Evaluate business and analytical needs to select and implement appropriate statistical, machine learning, and AI methodologies that deliver meaningful insights into patient populations, healthcare provider behavior, treatment patterns, and commercial opportunities.

  • Follow and refine best practices for model development, monitoring, governance, and continuous improvement.

Patient and Provider Analytics
  • Develop, deploy advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions to generate actionable insights into patient populations, healthcare provider behavior, treatment patterns, and disease progression.

  • Develop predictive models that support patient identification, segmentation, treatment initiation, adherence, persistence, and healthcare provider engagement strategies.

  • Integrate and analyze claims, electronic health records (EHR), specialty pharmacy, and commercial data to uncover opportunities that improve patient access, provider engagement, and commercial effectiveness.

  • Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Insights & Analytics teams to translate patient and provider insights into evidence-based business strategies.

  • Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Leadership and Performance
  • Support a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence.

  • Manage external vendors and consulting partners.

  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, managing multiple initiatives while ensuring timely and high-quality execution.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

  • 3+ years of experience supporting U.S. Commercial organizations within the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.

  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake and Power BI.

  • Expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and optimization techniques.

  • Knowledge of commercial pharmaceutical data sources such as IQVIA, Symphony Health, Veeva, Komodo, or claims and EHR datasets.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $142,000.00-$190,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
