Job description

We are seeking a Power BI Developer (onsite). This is a full time and direct hire role for one of our amazing partners west of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role does NOT offer sponsorship, it's NOT a consulting role, it's NOT remote, and we do NOT work with 3rd parties. You must live within driving distance of their office, since you will be working onsite 5 days a week.


Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence team and contribute to the migration of enterprise reporting from Tableau to Power BI. This role will focus on designing impactful dashboards, developing robust data models, and delivering accurate reporting solutions while partnering with BI leadership and data engineering teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Convert existing Tableau reports into Power BI while enhancing functionality and user experience.
  • Create and maintain scalable Power BI data models using star schema design principles.
  • Develop DAX calculations, measures, and calculated columns to support business reporting needs.
  • Perform data preparation and transformation using Power Query (M).
  • Validate report accuracy by comparing Power BI outputs with legacy Tableau reports.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and Agile project teams to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions.


Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience developing solutions in Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency with Power BI, DAX, and Power Query (M).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and foundational data modeling concepts.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with Tableau, particularly in dashboard migration projects.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server and data warehousing environments.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure services and modern BI technologies is a plus.
