Join our team as a Director!

As an Operational Director, you play a crucial role in the restaurant's overall success by overseeing essential facets of the business that drive food safety, quality, and profitability. This dynamic position allows you to shape the guest experience and operational efficiency, with the flexibility to focus on areas such as marketing, front-of-house, or back-of-house operations, depending on the restaurant's needs. Your leadership will not only enhance daily operations but also contribute to long-term strategic initiatives that foster growth and excellence within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational:

  • Collaborate with back-of-house and front-of-house staff to ensure consistent adherence to food safety and quality standards.
  • Guide and mentor team members to implement best practices that minimize waste and optimize food costs.
  • Analyze and streamline operational workflows to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Strategic:

  • Develop and execute strategies to boost restaurant capacity and overall performance, aligning operational goals with marketing initiatives.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with team leaders and staff to provide constructive feedback, coaching, and professional development.
  • Partner with the restaurant General Manager/Operator to align personal and departmental goals with broader company objectives.

Direct Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the administrative team to set ambitious goals and create strategic plans that drive restaurant improvement and growth.
  • Empower back-of-house and front-of-house leadership teams to foster effective communication, keeping all team members informed and engaged with goals and directives.
  • Implement training programs for team members to ensure adherence to operational procedures that enhance food safety and product quality.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are committed to delivering excellent service and quality.
  • Are adaptable and open to focusing on various aspects of restaurant operations, including marketing, front of house, and kitchen management.
  • Show a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development for themselves and their team.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

Perks of working at Chick-fil-A:

  • Flexible Hours: We will work with you to arrange a schedule that accommodates your commitments to family, friends, school, or sports.
  • Closed Sundays: Enjoy a guaranteed day off to spend with family and friends, as all Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays.
  • Work Directly With A Chick-fil-A Operator: Gain mentorship from the Operator, who invests time in employees and teaches valuable business skills for the future.
  • College Scholarships: We believe everyone deserves an education and offer Leadership Scholarships to eligible employees who qualify.
  • Competitive Pay: Enjoy a competitive paycheck while working in a nurturing environment that fosters valuable business and interpersonal skills.
  • A Friendly Place to Work: At Chick-fil-A, we view our team members as more than just employees. Our low turnover rate reflects how much people enjoy working here.
  • Opportunity for Advancement: There are many opportunities for growth and development within the Chick-fil-A organization.
  • Health insurance/401K benefits

At Chick-fil-A, being an Operational Director is more than just a job; it's an opportunity for personal and professional growth.

About the Company:

Chick-fil-A, Inc., Founder S. Truett Cathy started the business in 1946, when he and his brother, Ben, opened an Atlanta diner known as The Dwarf Grill (later renamed The Dwarf House). Through the years, that restaurant prospered and led Cathy to further the success of his business. In 1967, Cathy founded and opened the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Atlanta's Greenbriar Shopping Center. Today, Chick-fil-A has the highest same-store sales and is the largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States based on annual system-wide sales. Today, Chick-fil-A is America's #1 fast food restaurant.

Working at a Chick-fil-A restaurant is more than a job - it's an opportunity for teamwork and leadership development in a positive, people-focused environment. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are locally owned and operated by independent, franchised Operators who invest in the future of their Team Members and give back to their communities.
