We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Services Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical service projects from planning through closeout. This role is responsible for coordinating customers, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, schedules, budgets, documentation, and project deliverables to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within scope.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage mechanical service projects from initial scope review through completion, commissioning, punch list, and closeout.

Develop project schedules, coordinate labor needs, and communicate timelines with customers, field supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors.

Review drawings, specifications, estimates, proposals, contracts, and change orders to confirm project requirements and expectations.

Track project budgets, costs, procurement, material delivery, labor productivity, and cost-to-complete forecasts.

Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, permits, change orders, progress updates, closeout documents, warranty information, and other project documentation.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, providing clear and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate equipment procurement, delivery, staging, and installation activities to support efficient field execution.

Support safety compliance by reinforcing company policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite best practices.

Identify project risks, resolve issues proactively, and escalate concerns when needed to protect quality, schedule, and profitability.

Lead project kickoff, progress, and closeout meetings with internal and external teams.

Required Qualifications

Five or more years of project management experience in mechanical services, HVAC, plumbing, piping, construction, or a related field.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, service operations, project coordination, and field execution.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.

Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, and customer expectations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, supervisors, and leadership.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management or construction management software.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites and project locations as needed.

Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

Seven or more years of experience managing HVAC, plumbing, piping, or mechanical construction/service projects.

Experience with design-build, retrofit, industrial, commercial, or facility services projects.

OSHA 10, OSHA 30, PMP, NATE, trade license, or other relevant certifications.

Experience with Procore, Viewpoint, Sage, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar systems.

Background as a mechanical technician, foreman, estimator, project engineer, or assistant project manager.

Training, certification support, and professional development opportunities.

Opportunity to manage meaningful mechanical service projects with a skilled and supportive team.

About the Role
