The Site Director, Operations role is responsible for the overall performance, safety, and compliance of the Boulder biotechnology manufacturing site, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards. This role drives operational excellence by leading cross-functional teams, optimizing production processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, Danaher Business Systems (DBS), employee engagement, and quality-first execution.

This position reports to the VP, Operations and is part of the IDT NGS Solutions Business team located in Boulder, Colorado and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Set, implement, and appropriately cascade SMART performance objectives for respective value streams/product lines, provide regular feedback, and foster professional development.
  • Lead the improvement and harmonization of manufacturing processes . Ensure business is conducted with high integrity and in conformity with company policies, promote open communication, and resolve conflicts promptly.
  • Ensure the shipment goals, business goals, customer requirements and production plans are achieved and that manufacturing capacity meets the sales plans
  • Steer plant on-time delivery (OTD) of over 95% Establish high customer service goals and provide timely feedback to staff.
  • Reduce costs through enhanced labor productivity, manufacturing efficiency, cycle times, expense mitigation, and material efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.Coordinate cross-functional activities to meet regulatory and compliance standards. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or engineering-related field with at least 3-7 years of operations management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience performing production tasks within an operations or supply chain environment.
  • 3+ Previous people leader experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in continuous improvement such as 5S, Kanban, and other lean principles
  • Track record of using operational metrics, process analysis, and business case development to drive measurable improvements.
  • Experience in Stakeholder Management
  • Demonstrated ability to align diverse teams around large-scale operational improvements and business transformations.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel - 25%

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Leadership development and coaching
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

The annual salary range for this role is $140,000-$180,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
