Job description

Registered Nurse-Cardiac Cath Lab

Full time M-F 10 hour shifts Plus Call UMC Healthsystem Lubbock, Texas

Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures offered include, but not limited to

Pacemaker insertion/change out, Temporary pacemaker insertion, ICD insertion, Bi-Ventricular pacemaker insertion, IABP insertion, IVC filter placement, Aortic Grafts, Cardioversion, Carotid stents, Thrombolytic therapy for coronary/peripheral use, Swan Ganz catheter insertion, Angioplasty coronary/peripheral, coronary and peripheral laser intervention, Impella cases, Right and left heart catheterizations, peripheral angiogram , heart catheterization or any procedure requiring serial angiography, vascular or cardiac fluoroscopy (with or without contrast), Electrophysiology studies including those utilizing Cardiac Mapping, ablation procedures using RF or Cyro techniques, Electrophysiology lab RN. Must train to scrub and operate EP equipment in addition to RN duties. Will also cross train to work in Cath lab.

Qualifications
  • Must maintain a current CPR certification from American Heart Association
  • Cat Lab experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care required, prefer ICU/Emergency Care
  • BSN required within 3 years of hire
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License
