Job description

Title: Data & Analytics Manager

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000/year + 20% annual bonus

Location: HYBRID, North Phoenix, 4 days in office

Schedule: Mon-Fri, occasional travel

Data Analytics Manager

A Fortune 300 company in the Phoenix area is hiring a Data & Analytics Procurement Manager to own the data and analytics behind their procurement function. The heart of this role is turning large, messy procurement data sets into clean reporting, sharp dashboards, and insights that leadership can actually act on. You'll build the Power BI dashboards the team relies on, dig into spend and supplier data to surface where money is leaking and where there's room to optimize, and present those findings to procurement leadership and executive stakeholders.

This is a data-first seat. Procurement experience is a nice-to-have, not a requirement, so if you come from a heavy data and analytics background and want to own the reporting layer of a function that's investing seriously in its analytics, this is worth a look. The team will lean on you to be the person who makes the data make sense and tells the story behind it.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting that procurement leadership and executive stakeholders rely on for spend visibility, supplier performance, and decision support
  • Present dashboards, reports, and data findings to leadership and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Dig into procurement and spend data to identify overspend, choke points, and cost optimization opportunities across the supplier base
  • Own the data integrity of the procurement system of record, including supplier master data, item master, contracts, and transactional data across source to pay
  • Standardize how procurement data is captured, validated, and used across the business
  • Partner with IT, analytics, and integration teams on system enhancements, configuration changes, and downstream data flows
  • Support sourcing, contract, and spend analysis efforts with reliable, well-structured data
  • Partner with procurement leadership on executive-level reporting, KPIs, and spend visibility initiatives
  • Use data and analytics to support contract negotiations with large software suppliers and other strategic vendors
  • Provide technical mentorship and prioritization to one or two analysts where applicable

Qualifications

  • Strong background in data and analytics, with a track record of owning reporting and turning data into insight
  • Hands-on Power BI experience building dashboards, reports, and visualizations from large, enterprise data sets
  • Comfortable presenting data findings, dashboards, and reports to leadership and non-technical stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel

Preferred

  • Procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or procurement systems experience
  • SQL experience writing against enterprise data sources such as Snowflake, Denodo, or similar
  • Hands-on procurement module experience in a major enterprise ERP such as Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle EBS, SAP S/4HANA, SAP MM, SAP Ariba, or comparable
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP experience within procurement, sourcing, or source to pay modules
  • Report development experience in OTBI, Oracle Analytics Cloud, or BI Publisher
  • Hands-on FBDI experience for data loads, migrations, and bulk updates
  • Contract negotiation experience, particularly with large enterprise vendors and software suppliers
  • Experience negotiating directly with major software vendors such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce, or similar
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members such as analysts or buyers
