Summary

A Fueling Operations Support Manager provides a wide range of technical and customer support for fueling facilities (preventative maintenance, service, inspections, repairs, projects, environmental compliance, others) primarily within the transportation, retail, commercial, industrial, institutional and agricultural industries. Will interact with a wide range of stakeholders (Authorize Service Contractor (ASC), Environmental Engineer, internal teams, manufacturers, and facility and corporate customer personnel). Takes ownership and resolves complex assignments. Leads by example in all aspect of Ryder Fuel Service operations; exemplifies commitment to organizational goals.

Essential Functions
  • Analyze and troubleshoot various fueling systems (UST/AST alarm monitoring, Automatic Tank Gage (ATG), interstitial, Probes, sensors, spill buckets, sumps, Turbine Transfer Pumps (STP), Under Dispenser Containment (UDC), DEF systems, dispersers, piping, tank cleaning, Filters, others) to develop custom solutions for customers. Includes ownership of complete repair or replacement solution.
  • Ensure work order timelines and priorities are met. Utilize work order management system to prioritize and analyze customer service needs prior to taking action(s)
  • Provides clear, effective, and consistent communications/updates to both customers, databases, and other stakeholders.
  • Establish processes and tools to proactively prevent Notices of Violation. Support customer service needs related to Notices of Violation. Ensure facility compliance schedules are met. Identify and resolve potential compliance issues proactively. Understand when to escalate for legal compliance assistance.
  • Obtain, review, and approve repair quotes. Support constructions/capital projects under the guidance of environmental project Eng. Run ad-hoc reports using information from multiple systems and databases, build basic reports using information from multiple system and databases.
  • Monitor and report out on individual KPIs.
  • As assigned develop/support the creation and implement of policies/SOP/procedures/ BMP/ other for internal and/or external stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Working weekends, staying late, and/or making work schedule changes, is necessary to meet business needs
  • Position may be required to work remotely. Position requires candidate to agree to and abide by Ryder Telecommuting and Permanent Remote Work Agreement(s) and Policies for the duration of the remote work period.

Qualifications
  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business or related field
  • Five (5) years or more fuel system and/or facility maintenance management and/or environmental compliance industry experience required
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in direct responsibility for customer relationship-building experience required
  • In-depth understanding of how to use language/communications to create and maintain positive customer experiences advanced required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office environment, including Excel pivot tables advanced required
  • Fueling systems (UST/AST alarm monitoring, Automatic Tank Gage (ATG), interstitial, Proves, sensors, spill buckets, sumps, Turbine Transfer Pumps (STP), Under Dispenser Containment (UDC), DEF system, dispensers, piping) Downstream fueling systems and other systems as assigned advanced required

Compensation Information
