Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Director, Operations located in Littleton, MA

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations the Director, Operations will lead the Production, Quality, Technical Operations, Documentation Control, Supply Chain, and Warehousing functions. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating as a player/coach in an environment with a dynamic mix of steady-state production and new product introduction pilot builds. Strong preference will be given to those with a proven track record of working with hardware development teams, external contract manufacturers, and internal production teams focused on introducing new products and scaling production.

Candidates with strong adaptive leadership skills and the ability to create an environment that promotes cross functional teamwork are encouraged to apply.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Oversee production, quality, technical operations, documentation control, materials management, warehousing, and shipping & receiving

  • Meet all revenue and NPI build & shipment requirements

  • Ensure products and production processes meet quality standards at all times

  • Oversee the creation and execution of material demand & build plans

  • Plan and manage inventories to maximize inventory turns, minimize stock-outs and inventory obsolescence

  • Persistently evaluate and implement process technologies that enhance production efficiencies and production data integrity

  • Work with Quality and Customer Service to resolve any returns in a timely manner. Lead corrective action investigations and process enhancements as needed.

  • Collaborate with Development Engineering, NPI Program Management, and Manufacturing Technical Operations throughout the NPI program execution phases

  • Communicates and implements Operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support across Operations

  • Ensures the production work environment is safe for employees and visitors at all times

  • Provide mentorship, guidance and leadership to the Operations team

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • 4-year college degree, masters preferred

  • Minimum of 7-10 years' relevant industry experience, particularly in high volume environments with a robust new product development history

  • Experience managing production environments through timely and accurate data

  • Experience working with PLM, ERP and QMS systems. Preference given to those with Agile PLM and Netsuite ERP experience

  • Exhibits deep understanding and command of each element of the product sourcing, manufacturing, assembly, quality verification, and delivery process. Particularly working with world class contract manufacturers.

  • Able to engage with executive stakeholders, including peers at other companies

  • Data driven with the ability to master complex technical and hardware problems

  • Ability to quickly move from high level conversations into detailed operational discussions to drive business execution

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
