Job description

Job Title: Safety Professional Location: Fayetteville, Georgia Type: Direct Hire Compensation: 90-110K Work Model: Onsite

Overview The Safety Professional is responsible for oversight of Construction Project Safety, Health (S&H), and Risk Management, effectively managing multiple Safety programs, developing and implementing site-specific project safety plans, and collaborating with Project Management in the implementation and leadership of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Construction Project Safety, Health (S&H), and Risk Management efforts across multiple safety programs.
  • Develop and implement site-specific project safety plans and collaborate with Project Management on operational risk management.
  • Coordinate with General Contractor (GC) and site stakeholders regarding site conditions and non-compliance issues.
  • Participate in meetings with customers, project teams, and contractors/sub-contractors to advise on mitigation plans and safety training programs.
  • Assist with the development and execution of Site Specific Accident Prevention Programs (APP) and safety training plans to meet project requirements.
  • Manage site safety budgets, ensure proper permits, and maintain compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Lead the Operational Risk Management (ORM) team in reviewing safety plans based on project and client specifications, drawings, and regulations.
  • Conduct or assist with incident reporting, investigations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain knowledge of safety and health standards, OSHA, DOT, and related regulations.
  • Perform safety inspections, activity hazard analyses, emergency response planning, and first aid procedures.
Requirements
  • 2+ years experience with a Bachelor's Degree; Bachelor's degree in EHS or similar
  • If no Degree Bilingual is preferred
  • Experience conducting S&H training and regulatory compliance (1910, 1926, EM-385 1-1)
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems including ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000
  • Understanding of safety culture building and training certifications (OSHA 500/502)
  • Willingness to pursue ASP, CSP, or CHST certifications
  • Previous electrical, construction, industrial, federal, or commercial S&H experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint
