Job description

Position Summary

NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Web Development Services in Information Technology. The Director of Web Development Services will serve as the key technical lead for the development and day-to-day technical management of both the school's public-facing website and its internal intranet portal, working in close partnership with Public Affairs (PA) to ensure that the school's digital presence aligns with its institutional goals. Provide technical leadership while maintaining PA’s responsibility for prioritizing public website enhancements, maintenance of work, and critical issues, ensuring a seamless and innovative digital experience for all stakeholders. Drive the continual improvement of web functionality, usability, and security while ensuring that the platforms meet the evolving needs of the Stern community.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field, and 7+ years experience in web development, including strong expertise in Drupal or similar content management system and experience with hands-on development, customization, and maintenance of websites, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience overseeing web development teams and managing complex, large-scale web projects from concept to deployment is required.

Proficiency in front-end and back-end development technologies, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, a solid understanding of web architecture, content management systems, and site optimization techniques, and experience with web analytics, performance monitoring, and SEO best practices are required. Knowledge of web security protocols and data protection standards and familiarity with version control systems such as Git and development frameworks like Twig are also required.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $130,000.00 to USD $170,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
