ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Target, develop and secure client relationships by selling Valley Companies core logistics services such as Managed Transportation, Project Management, Final Mile, Truckload and LTL solutions to generate new business revenue and achieve strategic growth objectives


Partner with organizations to solidify Valley Companies as a premier logistics provider by promoting core service areas to achieve immediate and long-term growth


Quickly launch and build successful client relationships while prospecting and identifying new opportunities for your sales pipeline through proactive business development activities, including developing and maintaining targeted lead lists and identifying qualified prospects
Utilize direct and in-direct channels to generate new business opportunities while leveraging Valley Companies marketing and sales tools to consistently build a healthy sales pipeline and drive revenue growth.
Collaborate across departments and team members to secure the commercial terms of sale including negotiating rates, identifying vendor solutions, technology requirements, etc. while fostering strong partnerships with Operations, Finance, Marketing and other internal teams to ensure successful solution development, implementation, and customer satisfaction.
Represent Valley Companies at client industry, trade associations, events, and conferences to promote the Valley Value proposition while cultivating and strengthening relationships with prospective clients, existing customers, and industry partners.
Maintain a strong understanding of the logistics industry to deliver consultative advice and solutions for prospective customers and existing clients that support customer retention, new business acquisition, and long-term revenue growth.
Prepare and deliver timely, accurate and high confident sales pipeline reports, and sales forecast
Develop, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with clients by serving as a trusted advisor, identifying opportunities to expand service offerings, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (preferred)
5+ years of professional experience
3+ years of experience in a high-sales environment (preferably in a 3PL environment)
Learned knowledge in Microsoft Office
Effective communication, negotiation, and networking skills
Creative problem-solving approach, strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task, work in groups, and attention to detail
Phone, email, face-to-face etiquette, clerical procedures, managing files, records retention, and
customer service skills to effectively accomplish duties
