As Manager of Strategic Initiatives at PJM, you will play a vital role in driving the long term success of PJM. You will be part of Chief Strategy Officer Organization and report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the PJM Executive Team and the Senior Leadership Team to execute strategic initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives.

Your role as a Manager of Strategic Initiatives Manager at PJM will be instrumental in positioning PJM for success in a dynamic industry environment. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of PJM by implementing strategic initiatives that will shape the future of the power industry.
Essential Functions:

  • Lead and manage strategic initiatives, including the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Support a periodic review of strategic objectives (e.g. annually) and make informed recommendations for any adjustments to strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and track the progress of strategic initiatives, ensuring they stay on track and align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, results, and recommendations to PJM leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and obstacles that may arise during the implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in strategic initiative planning and execution.

Characteristics and Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administrator or at least 10 years of experience technical leadership, project management, or other leadership roles
  • At least 10 years of work experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects or initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
