Director of Operations at Chick-fil-A West Wichita

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Director of Operations at Chick-fil-A West Wichita!

The Director of Operations plays a vital role in ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently. This individual is an expert in both front and back-of-house and supports all other restaurant departments. This individual must first successfully complete the Director-in-Training program and be approved by leadership as a Director of Operations before leading independently in their role. This training experience is comprised of four phases and is founded on Chick-fil-A's five critical success factors:leadership, talent, customer experience, sales and brand growth, and financial stewardship. The four phases of this program include 1) Heritage, Culture, and Food Safety, 2) Operations, 3) Managing Shifts, and 4) Leading Independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and participate in daily operations to ensure excellent customer service is taking place (Note: This is a heavily operational role with 50% or more of time dedicated to operations.)
  • Oversee the coordination of all restaurant operations
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to create annual sales, customer service, and profit goals
  • Take initiative to propose operational changes to achieve business goals
  • Collaborate with leadership team to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
  • Monitor staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and maintain labor/productivity goals
  • Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure equipment is operating properly and that spare parts are available to reduce equipment downtime
  • Work closely with Training and Talent Directors to recruit and develop high-caliber employees
  • Facilitate bi-weekly leadership meetings
  • Proactively identify and solve problems (i.e. alarms, emergencies, inventory issues, bottlenecks, etc.)
  • Keep a pulse on seasonal business trends and adjust resources accordingly
  • Oversee inventory management and month-end processes
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive work culture
  • Train employees on all Chick-fil-A policies, standards, and procedures
  • Provide constructive feedback to employees and confront behaviors that do not align with company values or standards

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older upon hire date
  • Legally eligible to perform work in the United States
  • Education: Associate degree or higher (or equivalent experience in a related field)
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including Saturdays and evenings
  • Dedication to providing exceptional service and hospitality
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
