Key Areas of Responsibility

  • In addition to supporting SaaS product delivery, build and maintain the integrated payments capabilities, ensuring secure, compliant and highly available transaction processing
  • Own release management, QA and support engineering for Laundry SaaS solutions, reducing defect escape rates and improving customer satisfaction
  • Partner with Product to shape roadmap priorities and technical trade-offs necessary to deliver commercial targets while maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Continuously improve engineering efficiency by driving higher developer productivity through AI-assisted development practices, optimizing cloud infrastructure cost per customer, and accelerating software delivery.
  • Report on engineering performance with clear KPIs, velocity, release frequency, uptime, defect rates and cloud spend, to hold the plan accountable to targets

Strategy & Vision
  • Shape the technical vision, AI strategy and architecture roadmap for Laundry SaaS in North America, collaborating closely with Product and Security leaders to identify platform investments, AI opportunities, technical differentiation and the modernization roadmap that supports them.
  • Own the engineering plan and budget for Laundry SaaS (working collectively with Finance). This includes annual headcount and vendor planning, cloud cost management and in-year quarterly reforecasting of delivery commitments.

• Define and execute the AI engineering strategy, identifying opportunities to leverage Generative AI and intelligent automation to improve customer experience, engineering productivity, and product innovation.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Build strong working relationships across Product, Support and Customer Success so the engineering plan is aligned to and accountable for in-year commercial targets
  • Act as the technical voice for Laundry SaaS - rally internal stakeholders and outsourced development partners around delivery priorities and deliver against plans
  • Coach engineering managers and senior engineers, building upon each one's strengths and providing support to address their development areas - lead by example
  • Have a bias to action ("Move with Purpose" Principle) - being data driven but also knowing when to move
  • Be a culture champion, intentionally bring our "Create Lasting Communities" value to life, both in how we build for customers and in making Xplor a fun place to work in a hybrid environment

• Build an AI-first engineering culture by driving adoption of AI-assisted development practices, coaching teams on emerging AI capabilities, and establishing repeatable engineering standards.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model and willing to spend time in the Draper, Utah office to build a strong SaaS engineering culture
